Operation Eagle Shock: US Army and Lithuanian Land Forces Train Together

It was called Operation Eagle Shock, a military exercise involving both American and Lithuanian land forces training together in Pabrade, Lithuania from October 8 -14. Operation Eagle Shock was a combined arms live-fire exercise in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve North, which covers the Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland. “It’s an honor to be able to serve here at this critical time and to demonstrate our nation’s commitment to collective security in Europe by training with our NATO allies,” said Lt. Airmen Bring the Thunder to Estonia

Since arriving in Estonia last month, Airmen from Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, work in three-person teams to load munitions on 12 A-10 Thunderbolt II attack aircraft — also known as Warthogs — currently deployed to Amari Air Base, Estonia.

The Airmen and aircraft will spend the next several months working alongside their NATO allies to further develop interoperability, all part of the ongoing Operation Atlantic Resolve. Continue reading Airmen Bring the Thunder to Estonia
