STATEMENT: General Breedlove Issues Statement Regarding Paris Attacks

Gen. Philip Breedlove, Commander, U.S. European Command, issued the following statement on the Nov. 13 Paris attacks:

“My deepest sympathies go out to the people of Paris and France, and all those impacted by these horrific terror attacks. I have contacted the French Chief of Defense and offered to assist in any way our military can. We will continue to stand beside our oldest NATO Ally to deter, disrupt and defeat terrorists who threaten our values, freedoms and our way of life.”

NEWS RELEASE: F-15E Strike Eagles arrive at Incirlik Air Base

A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle departs RAF Lakenheath to support Operation Inherent Resolve, Nov. 12, 2015. Aircraft from the 48th Fighter Wing deployed to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, to conduct counter-ISIL missions in Iraq and Syria. STUTTGART, Germany — In a demonstration of our continued commitment to the fight against ISIL in Iraq and Syria, United States European Command directed the U.S. Air Force to deploy six F-15Es to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey.  The F-15Es from the 48th Fighter Wing based at Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, arrived today at approximately 3:50 p.m. Eastern European Time (EET).

Remarks at Deutsch-Amerikanisches Zentrum

U.S. European Command’s Maj. Gen. Mark Loeben was invited to speak at the DAZ: Deutsch-Amerikanisches Zentrum (German-American Center) Concert  in Neues Schloss, Stuttgart, on 7 October 2015.


Meine Damen und Herren, Ladies and Gentlemen, Guten Abend, Good Evening.  Thank you for the opportunity to speak to you tonight.  I’m honored to be here in this beautiful hall among such very distinguished company.

I would especially like to recognize Dr. Rudolf Boehmler, chairman of the board of the German-American Center, Stuttgart and his wife; Consul General James W. Herman, U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt, and his wife; Dr. Birgit Schneider-Boenniger, Head of the Cultural Office here in Stuttgart; and one of my favorite couples, Klaus Schaffer and Dr. Gabrielle Kloster-Schaffer.  A special welcome to members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of Economy & Culture, and members of the VDAC and DAZ.  Thank you so much for attending.
